SQUEAKY CLEAN AT GLENTRESS

Time to bring your bath towel, bar of soap and shower cap to Glentress forest as the new showers are in full flow.

In response to feedback from mountain bikers who want to get squeaky clean after a hard day out on the biking trails, Forestry Commission Scotland undertook to bring showers to the popular 7stanes venue.

There are three showers for the lads and three for the ladies. Not only do you get your own changing space and toilet but tired riders can rest their weary legs on the fold down seat!

Andy Wardman, Forestry Commission Scotland's biking ranger for Borders said:

"Most riders think that Glentress offers the full package with great riding, great food, great bikes for hire and a friendly atmosphere to top it off. The only other thing missing was that riders wanted to get squeaky clean after a day on the trails. Riders have been able to wash their bikes but now they can wash themselves too!"

The showers can be found to the left of the Hub bike shop near the bike wash. All the shower units are fully heated and for £1 you get a good blast of hot water for five minutes. The showers are available to all visitors to Glentress.
