Kirroughtree Horse Riding
In Galloway Forest Park there is open access for horse riders on all the forest roads. The park gives ideal riding for a couple of hours, a day or even a weekend outing. Kirroughtree Horse Riding can be started from Kirroughtree Visitor Centre in Kirroughtree which is part of Galloway Forest Park. Newton Stewart and Creetown. is the nearest town or village.
From Newton Stewart:, Take A75 signposted Dumfries for 3 miles. Turn left at Palnure signposted Kirroughtree Visitor Centre.
, From New Galloway: , Take A712 to Newton Stewart. Turn left at T-junction onto A75. Turn left at Palnure signposted Kirroughtree Visitor Centre.
, By Bus: , Service 431 from Newton Stewart to Kirkcudbright. Exit the bus at Palnure, a short walk from Kirroughtree Visitor Centre.
