Trailquest Historic Cycle Trail - Green Hill

Orienteering on a bicycle! Pick up a leaflet and see if you can follow the trail. The checkpoints will keep you on the right track and at the same time give you an insight into the lives of the prehistoric inhabitants of Glentress. This is a more challenging route than the Blue grade route in terms of distance and therefore fitness required. Travelling to Green Hill you follow a hunter from three thousand years ago.

How to get there:

Trailquest Historic Cycle Trail - Green Hill can be started from Red Squirrel Car Park in Glentress Forest which is part of Forests of the Scottish Borders. Peebles is the nearest town or village.

One and a half miles east of Peebles on the A72, Follow the signs to the Red Squirrel car park.
