Lewisburn
 

One of the forests' most beautiful secluded valleys, with a waymarked walk which never deviates far from the Lewisburn itself. On this route you are never far from the Lewis which gently flows through this secluded valley. Enjoy a family picnic, then take the Lewisburn trail for a peaceful stroll. This is an ideal place for children to play, either paddling in the river or discovering the adventure of the surrounding woods.

    There is a very well way marked trail that will take you along the Burn and up to a viewpoint.

    Lewisburn is a great starting point for the Cross Border Cycle ride or for exploring the local area.

Lewisburn is in Kielder which is part of Kielder. Kielder is the nearest town or village.

HorseRiding.gif There is a good Bridleway that takes you over Bloody Bush road that starts from the Picnic Site
Fishing Burn fishing permits can be obtained during the fishing season from Kielder Castle £3.00 per day adults and £1.50 per day concessions.
Wildlife Activities Early morning is a good time to see Deer in the forest.
Barbecue Some of the picnic benches have a barbecue rack fitted.
