Laurieston Wood is part of Galloway Forest Park. Laurieston is the nearest town or village.

From Newton Stewart:
Take the A712 signposted New Galloway, At New Galloway turn right on to the A762 signposted Gatehouse of Fleet and Kirkcudbright. At Laurieston turn right onto the B795 Gatehouse road and the Kennick burn trails are about 2 miles up the road
