Recreation at Craigieburn Forest

Spreading up the valley side from Moffat Water, Craigieburn Forest offers a choice of two walks. The short walk climbs up to a viewpoint where vistas unfold towards the town of Moffat, famous for its wool and toffee. For the keen walker, the path splits and offers the choice of a longer route up the hill.

How to get there:

Craigieburn Forest is part of Forests of the Southern Uplands. Moffat is the nearest town or village.

Follow the A708, Moffat to Selkirk road. The car park is signposted 3 miles out of Moffat. The nearest train station is in Lockerbie.
