Recreation at Hell's Hole
 

Small car park with picnic bench. Local knowledge has it that the name Hell's Hole referred to a deep and dangerous pool that used to be located here in the Catlee Burn.

How to get there:

Hell's Hole is in Hyndlee Forest which is part of Forests of the Scottish Borders. Hawick and Bonchester Bridge & Newcastleton are the nearest towns or villages.

From Hawick head to Bonchester Bridge on the A6088. Turn right on to the B6357 south towards Newcastleton for approximately two miles, Hells Hole is the first access point to Hyndlee and is on the right hand side.
