A forest picnic site with good parking, walks, fine views and a tale to tell of a shotgun wedding with a difference. Part of the River Tweed Journey, leaflets available from Tourist Information Centres.

How to get there:

Thornielee Car Park is in Thornielee which is part of Forests of the Scottish Borders. Walkerburn and Galashiels are the nearest towns or villages.

Take the A72 from Walkerburn or Galashiels.
